Huge, rocky, light tan head. Aroma of roasty malt and strong, piney hops-smells like a cross between an amber and an ipa. Roasty malt beginning quickly yields to bitter, piney hops, some clove in the finish with yeast adding a bit of depth. Medium/full creamy body, easy drinking. Excellent. massurfer (7), winter springs, Florida, USA does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 16, 2006 Great overall taste. Aroma features rich toffee malt, complex fruit, strawberry, ripe plum, an over all effect like that of sniffing a roses chocolate box. On the palate there is chewy sweet malt, a profound fruit medley of strawberry, peaches and apricot leading to a firm bitter finish. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA

Aroma of fruit (apricot and peach) is subtle, but pleasantly blended with hops.Flavor is malty, and has a nice hop flavor component. There is a pleasant, yet subtle hop bitterness finish. Reminds me of one of my home-brewed English PA's. I like this one. AndreasJaeger (101), Helsingborg, Sweden
