Amber-brown colour with thin off-white head that falls back to a thin film of bubbles. Thin metallic, slightly sweet aroma, with a faint but pleasant nuttiness. Thin caramel malt sweetness with a short brown sugar and roasted nut finish. Thin bodied, but no more so than anything from this brewery. A simple brew but not a bad one.

Nice dark brown appearance with a faint creamy aroma. Flavor is extremely mild with a touch of malts. Very smooth. At best an average Brown but it gets bonus points for drinkability.

Not a typical dark brown ale but I really like the reddish glow here. Aroma doesn't really exist, decent flavor but very incomplete. Easy to drink but not very enjoyable to drink. I didn't even notice the nutty roasty flavor.

Beer is nutty and malty but there is a strong presence of alcohol in the aftertaste. Nicer as it warms up.

Calling this nut brown "classic" is a bit of a stretch, but hey, Jethro Tull is called "classic" rock, so I'll ignore both inconsistencies for now. Slight bite of alcohol, despite its low 5.6% abv. That's not good, folks. But otherwise, it is both nutty and malty. True to its name (at least in part).

Sure looks good in the glass. Beautiful copper brown. More bitter than expected. Watery palate. Description says "Classic Nut Ale"; overpowering hops crushes all other flavours.
