Aug 14, 2008 341ml brown bottle. Medium amber shade, light tan head which is short lasting, some ok lacing. Caramel malt nose, sweetish. Flavour has some nutty malt, hint of roast, light hops in finish. Medium body, quick carbonation.

Jan 12, 2008 (Bottle) Purchased at the BCLS at Fairfield Plaza back in March 2007. Another test of the shelf-life of these OK beers. Thin, quick dissipating off-white head with a deep mahogany body. Pleasant nutty nose with backing of caramel. Flavour is surprisingly full - nice roasted tongue and mild finish. Not great but definitely one of the better Okie beers.

Nov 9, 2007 Bottle from Quail and Pheasant in Kelowna. Brown body with a small creamy beige head that fades leaving a smattering of lacing. Odd musty caramel and malt in the aroma. Sweet malt flavour, light notes of astringent grains in the finish. Lingering bitterness at times that is not always welcomed. Average palate.

Oct 14, 2006 On tap at Stella’s Tap and Tapas Bar, Vancouver. Chestnut with thin beige head. Some toffee and hop on aroma, bit of butter. Too cold again, but I am sure I will get used to it. More caramel and butter in mouth. Reminded me of a Czech cerne. Too carbonated/too cold. But has some drinkability.

Sep 15, 2006 Notes of bread and fruit in the mild aroma. Brilliantly clear amber brown coloured body pours with an initially fizzy, off white, fully diminishing head. Sweet nutty flavour with mild finishing bitterness. Light medium body with fizzy and short lived carbonation. Tumbler. Just above fridge temperature. Can (BC Liquorstore at Kingsgate mall, Sep-05).

Jul 5, 2006 Amber-brown, modest head, low aroma of caramel. Pretty watery palate with faint caramel the only feature. Not bad, but pretty disappointing considering this is one of my favourite styles.

Mar 9, 2006 Bottle: Pours a medium copper with an off white head.
Light roasty malt and nutty aroma.
Nutty sweetness in the flavour with a bitter tinge in the finish. Nothing outstanding but very enjoyable middle of the road beer.

Aug 27, 2005 Clear deep amber with a small white ring around the top. Some toast & a little hint of sweetness in the aroma hints of hop bitterness. Body is a bit thin with some fruit tastes * a biiter finish. I like it.
