Bad aroma, like the beer that flows in the tray, or fermenting fruits; is this the first pint of the day? The body is soft, but there is an unexpected sourness; less bad than the aroma, but very suspicious. I can’t drink it. Ungstrup (14757), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 12, 2008 Cask at Charlies Bar, Copenhagen. A hazy dark amber beer with a thin light tan head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet malty with notes of caramel, while the body is light. thewolf (5634), Kolding, Denmark Oct 2, 2008 Cask @ the pub next to Lyceum Theatre.
Pours hazy golden with a small, bubbly, white head. Okay duration. Aroma is doughy malts, a little caramel and weak fruity hops. Low carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is pleasantly sweet, lots of malt and with a soft hoppy touch. Good, rather fruity aftertaste. Tasty. wyzzywyz22 (754), Wirral, Merseyside, England Sep 23, 2008 Cask, Bear and Billett, Chester. Darkish orangey brown colour with a thin whiteish head. Thinnish hoppy aroma. Similar flavour with a bit of malt. Pretty uninteresting. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England Nov 28, 2007 Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Golden.Sweetish biscuity malt and some tangy citric hops. A little yeasty sulphur spoils the balance. hughie (3018), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Oct 6, 2007 Cask, gravity, at Bedford Beer Festival ’07. Amber. Malty aroma. Faint malt taste, otherwise a bit vapid... no, actually it’s rather good. Anyway that’s what I wrote in my notes.
