Commercial Description:
Bottled. Filtered and force-carbonated.<br /> "Dr Okells is an extremely light coloured beer with a surprising full bodied taste, the sweetness is offset by a very strong hopping rate. That gives the finished beer an over all roundness with very spicy lemony notes and a fine dry finish to counteract the initial sweetness."

Bottle, Shamesburys, Upton. Poured a clear straw gold, with a fairly small white head. Nice hoppy and grapefruit aroma. Fresh, clean taste with the same characteristics as the aroma and a lingering dry hoppy bitter finish. Nicely balanced and pretty tasty. Went a treat with a quarter of crispy duck and pancakes.

500ml bottle. A pale, yellowish bitter with some light, mildly lemony hop notes. A short of lagerish bitter really. Like so many of these golden lager/ales that British brewers are doing at the moment. It’s drinkable and refreshing, and there’s little to find offensive about it.
