Commercial Description:
Bottled. Filtered and force-carbonated.<br /> "Dr Okells is an extremely light coloured beer with a surprising full bodied taste, the sweetness is offset by a very strong hopping rate. That gives the finished beer an over all roundness with very spicy lemony notes and a fine dry finish to counteract the initial sweetness."

VERY pale straw, almost lager like, good finger thick white head, leaves an attractive lacing as I sup. Nose is mouthwateringly hoppy, spicy and fruity....wow. A bit lighter in body than expected, clean and lightly malted, good bitter, hoppy edge that stays well on the long lasting finish.A quality brew. Sainsburys Ponteland.

Hiss of green juicy hop with mandarin splashes. Pale lagery pour specked with lace. Grapefruity floral Turkish Delight notes wrapped up in Hobnob malt and oat sweetness. Hops intact but fading. Bit too clean and precise, but tasty unreal G/APA 737314. Nah, it’s better than that. Zesty floral US hop aroma musty with grapefruit and resins. Soap, pith and lace. Genuine bite of IPA bitterness, nutty pale malt hints, grapefruit and mandarin tang. Slick, persistent, zinging with Alpha loveliness. Spot on.

Bottle (in NZ), the gold poured with a slight haze with a healthy frothy white head. Light peachy hops on the nose. A creamy palate with light caramal malt, the hops are resiny with a dry citrus bite in the finish.

Bottled, filtered, 500ml from Sainsburys, Banbury. Bright gold in colour with white head, carbonated. Light to middling body, some biscuity malt, but lots of hops, the lip numbing, almost anaesthetic type, dry, grapefruity and lemon zest. Good interesting bottled beer.
