Cask, The Highcross, Leicester. Hazy gold with a white head. Aromas are light malts with fresh grapefruit and sweet wheat. Flavours are grapefruit and lemon with biscuit malts. Resinous in its fruitiness. Clean and refreshing with a dry finish.

Handpulled cask at JDW Watford. A light golden slightly hazy beer with whispy head in good condition. A nice combination of citrusy flavours and acidity then a hint of sweetness. More interesting than great.

Hinckley, second sampling....still that buttery aroma, but with soft wine gummy hop tang leaking out. Clearly fresh cask. Nitro lacy, orange amber, fine milky condition. Very soft and low carb but it suits. Slippery and fine. Gentle lemon and lime gelatinous penny chew hop softness closing with creamy wheaty biscuit and vanilla afters. Sweet but good.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms JDW, Bristol. Hazy gold in colour with a decent white head. Caramel, spice and yeast aroma. Flavour was sweet, with some graininess in the mouth, toffee and citrus hops, leading to a short, dry finish. Good.

Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes in Wetherspoons Festival ’08. Gold. Spicy hop aroma. Very sweet, syrupy taste with a wheaty breakfast cereal background. Slight bitterness. I quite like it.
