Csak at the Lincolnshire Poacher, Nottingham. I found this to be pleasantly malty with a distinct chocolate flavour, if a bit one dimensional.

Cask at Kent Beer Festival, Canterbury: Pretty poor mild. Bland aroma, bland flavour just a little malt and toffee. Really nothing going on.

(Cask at Queens Hotel pub, Douglas, on 2008-07-04) Deep amber. Clear. Medium-sized dense tan head. Medium and slightly sugary palate. Malts, hint of syrup, liquorice and some lightly roasted malts in taste.

Cask @ Market Porter (Apr ’08). Not the most exciting beer. Bland aroma. Taste is malty with a vague hint of toffee. Dull brown colour with no head.

Cask/gravity at Battersea Beer Festival 6 Feb 08. Dark brown / mahogany colored. A tiny layer-head. Modest aroma with traces of raisins. Watery flavor with an evolving taste of prunes. No bitterness.

Cask at The Cricketers, Keighley, West Yorkshire, 04-05-07. Poured dark brown, some cocoa notes but other than that it had very little to say, in fact I wrote very little about it at all, still I drank it and it was pleasant enough.

Cask gravity at Battersea BF 2007. Dark brown with no head. Dullish dark mild, not much flavour. Some dark toffee, but mostly tasteless water. But it’s a mild, what do you expect?
