Gravity Cask @ Battersea Beer Festival. Mid brown. Thin slightly chocolatey flavours with light fruity berries. Uninspiring mild with a damp clothy finish.

Half pint gravity fed at the Battersea Beer Festival, light brown with no head. A very nice chocolate malt aroma. A light mouthfeel, though a little watery, but with a light malt flavour. Easy to drink, but maybe a bit bland.

Cask at Helsinki beer festival 2006. Dark ruby color. Chocolate, licorice and apple in the aroma. Flavor is dryer with pale ale malt and apple notes. A dull mild.

Cask@GBBF04. Milds are supposed to be ’mild’, but this is too ’mild’ for a mild. Very thin watery body, touch of caramel and peat, but there is not a whole lot else, very thin and sweetish.

Deep reddish chestnut colour, but not very dark for a mild. This is a thin bodied supping mild in the northern style. Some soft malt, but nothing very noteworthy. Sweetish finish. I’m struggling to find much else to say. Certainly not a rich mild. Acceptable for pouring down quickly, but inconsequential. Cask (handpump), GBBF 2004.

Cask Conditioned, at the GBBF, 2004.
Rich chestnut colour, adorned with a fluffy beige crown. Vanilla and spiced aroma complimented by a soft malt flavour. Easily quaffed.
