Thin slightly chocolatey flavours with light fruity berries. Uninspiring mild with a damp clothy finish. TheGrandMaster (1877), Auckland, New Zealand

A very nice chocolate malt aroma. A light mouthfeel, though a little watery, but with a light malt flavour. Easy to drink, but maybe a bit bland. Miksu (2241), Jyväskylä, Finland

Very thin watery body, touch of caramel and peat, but there is not a whole lot else, very thin and sweetish. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 8, 2004 Deep reddish chestnut colour, but not very dark for a mild. This is a thin bodied supping mild in the northern style. Some soft malt, but nothing very noteworthy. Sweetish finish. I’m struggling to find much else to say. Certainly not a rich mild. Acceptable for pouring down quickly, but inconsequential. Cask (handpump), GBBF 2004.
