Clear medium red amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, ´roasted, caramel, fruity, nutty notes, moderate hoppy, orange. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090806]

Aug 15, 2009 Cask@GBBF2009. Amber colour, beige head. Aroma is caramel, red fruits, red berries as well as some wooden and mildly nutty notes. Flavour is caramel, fruits, wood, mild notes of raisins as well as some nuttyness. Balanced.

Oct 12, 2009 Cask at GBBF 2009. Reddish copper, lasting beige head. Sweetish bitter, touch of strawberry fruit. Bit watery in mouth. Faint spritzey finish. Neither a bitter not nor a sweetish red ale. Falls between the 2 stools. OK, if not ery interesting.

Jul 5, 2009 A Mes rate. Cask handpull from Baker Street ’Sporks.
Dark copper with a thin off white head and plenty of lace. Well balanced bright and perfumed hops with some good malty hints and a really pleasing bitterness in the finish. Straight forward but really enjoyable.

May 26, 2009 Cask, Highcross, Leicester. Dark red brown with a cream head. Aromas are roasted coffee with peppery clean hops. Some burnt character with dark chocolate. Flavours are rich roast malts with cola and dark chocolate. Yeasty with a dry finis. Decent and tasty.
