Commercial Description:
Cask, Occasional
The use of crystal malts gives this beer a rich, ruby-red colour and initial sweetness which combines with a spicy, citric hop aroma to develop into a very smooth and easy-drinking beer which belies its strength. Hops used: Amarillo

Cask at GBBF 2009. Pours a pale chestnut with a thin creamy head. Plenty of fruit in the aroma, with plenty of fruit and spices in the flavour, with a nice dry finish.

(Cask at Crosse Keys JDW, London City, 16 Apr 2009) Chestnut colour with ruby hints. Foamy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of crystal malts and wild berries (raspberries, cowberries). Malty, fruity taste with wild berries and a nice, tangy, citrussy bittermess in a fairly dry finish. Nice one.

A Mes rate. Cask handpull from Baker Street ’Sporks.
Dark copper with a thin off white head and plenty of lace. Well balanced bright and perfumed hops with some good malty hints and a really pleasing bitterness in the finish. Straight forward but really enjoyable.

Hinckley Spoons. Pale chestnut with a slick ivory collar. Almost imperceptible leafy citrus aroma. Very understated but unmistakeable single varietal tang of Amarillo, silky fresh condition, whirls of lace, soapdish licks. Some caramel and biscuit, dry roasted nuts. Wheat-like linger. Solid, discreetly citrussy bitter.
