Flavorful without being sour or bitter, little alcohol taste, the downside is an odd mouthfeel - some might describe it as "full" but I find it somewhat akin to inhaling cotton batting.

Okocim - Carlsberg :) Pianka na dwa palce, ładny kolor, pachnie piwem po otwarciu. Pianka utrzymuje sie przez jakis czas a potem znika. Smakuje dobrze.

Okocim Jasne Pelne ABV: 5.5% Calories: 200 Volume: 16.9 fl oz Glass: 500 ml pilsner Purchased at: Sherwood Liquors Price per fl oz: $3 / 16.9 fl oz = $.17 per fl oz Consumed at: Home sensory first impression: Pale and clear to a fault, but a clean, grassy aroma is nice. Head seems artificially stimulated, and looks soapy. Taste is very smooth with a nice crisp aftertaste. Action happens all over the mouth. A bit chemical in taste. Head is kind of rocky, but dissipates quickly. Bright white head on a pale yellow to clear body. Not bad, but not very good either. Too smooth, lacking character. Aroma/Olfactory: Malt flavor is: caramel, hay, and grass. Hop flavor is: lightly floral, dried herbaceous, weak tea. Yeast flavor is: dusty, leathery, very dry Other flavors include: vegetables, medicine, corn, soap. Visuals/Appearance: Color is: pale, light clear to yellow. Liquid is: clear, immaculate, clean. Head and lace are: bumpy, to minimal, white Taste/Flavor: Maltiness or Sweetness level is: very light Hoppiness or Bitterness level is: none. Sour level is: none. Palate/Tactile: Body or Mouthfeel is: light. Swiggable, but not very drinkable. Texture is: thin, thin, thin. Carbonation is: soft to flat Finish is: lightly astringent, and short lived. Overall experience: Just not a very good beer. Good scent, weak on almost all other counts. No bad flavor, no good flavor, no flavor at all.

Rated many times on tap. First time 22.01.2007. Only on tap version is available in Poland so far. Bottled beer goes on export.
Quite decent and not much popular lager that used to be popular in Poland a few years ago. Currently not commercialized due to different company policy and stress on other beer like Okocim Mocne, Okocim Palone, Zagłoba and mainly Carlsberg.
Pours clean bright yellowish gold in body colour, witch chalky white and quite firm head with rather not much lacing unfortunately. Slight and gentle hoppyness in flavour is much more exposed than in aroma. Clean and well balanced and classical as for a Premium Lager, but has every good aspect only to some extent. Leaving you somehow with a feeling of dissatisfaction, has every aspect that simple and good lager should have but on the other hand you still expect more of those things and then you are already at finish with neutral, shallow aftertaste like a bit jaggy watered chalkyness. Nonetheless high quality !

Pale golden - looks watery. Minimal hop nose, with an almost Budewiser smell. Moderate bitterness with a barely perceptible malt. Thin mouthfeel. I got this from the airport bar in the International terminal at O’Hare.

Not my favourite Polish beer i’m afraid! This seems to have a different taste compared to Tyskie or Lech. A sort of dry, bitter taste which i’m not familiar with.
