[20090222] ChristianScheffel (4431), Odense, Denmark Apr 25, 2009 Amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of brown sugar and molasses. Sugary sweet flavour with molasses, and a hint of burnt caramel. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Mar 12, 2009 Bottle, 0.5%. Weak creamy and somehow sugary aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small tan head. The flavour is quite sweet, hint of salami smoke. Flowery aroma hop, partly disguised by the sweetness. tgncc (796), Bellmore, New York, USA Mar 8, 2009 Attractive ruby red, off white head. The aroma is very sweet, licorice, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla extract. The flavor is ridiculously sweet. A combination of caramel, toffee, licorice, brown sugar. The finish is residual sugar, no hops. I needed to get the low alcohol style under my belt, and I just did so with this beer. I can’t say I enjoyed this. it’s kind of like a wierd soda, more than a beer. BigBeer45 (676), Troy, Michigan, USA Jan 25, 2009 Bought a bottle of this at a local Polish grocer, has a dark brown pour (it is a ruby when held up to a light) with some off-white bubbles, gave a small head and the bubbles surrendered to a ring quickly, I could get more of a head if I swirled the glass, aromas of old, stale malt and nuts, beans? has a muted burnt malt fragrance, some licorice, burnt sweet molasses flavor with some extra sweetness on top of that, a bit of bitterness at the finish but the before flavor is sort of horrid and it is hard to imagine any finish or aftertaste that would benefit this beer, the burnt and stale malt and beans I smelled earlier carried over into the flavors, this stuff is bad, I cannot drink this, it is awful, has a medium mouth feel along with some syrupiness, I took a few more sips to be sure this stuff stinks, yup, it stinks and is lousy, about the only thing positive is how it looks. BückDich (4785), McCall, Idaho, USA Dec 7, 2008 Bottle: Pours a dark amber color with no head. The aroma is sweet with vanilla and caramel, lots of sugary notes. The flavor is very sweet like jaggery. Eh. Too sweet. saxo (3511), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Oct 26, 2008 Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are sweet molasses and malt. Kinda like a danish ’’hvidtøl’’.
