| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 9, 2005 Bottle (500ml). Poured clear bubbly gold with a decent sized diminishing foamy white head. I get sweet corn, some honey and grain (a bit vegetal) - malt? dunno ... Taste is grainy, harshly alcoholic, some stale hoppiness, the honeyish sweetness is totally overwhelmed by unbalanced alcohol. It would probably get you blitzed quickly, but I found this a surprisingly unpleasant drinking experience considering I didn’t hate either the aroma or the the taste. Has a long, unpleasantly harsh linger and aftertaste. Maybe their regular lager is okay, their porter is terrific! oh6gdx (8903), Vasa, Finland
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 8, 2005 Bottled. Deep golden colour, mediumsized white bubbly head. Strong malty aroma with grassy and honeyish hints. Flavour is really boring, just hops and malt with sting of alcohol poorly mixed. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Oct 7, 2005 (500 ml bottle: $1.99 at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) Pours a quarter-inch of rocky, white head that shows solid retention. It’s light golden in color and crystal clear in appearance, so the scattered carbonation bubbles rising through the beer are readily visible. Strong grain/corn, moderate sweetness and a fair amount of alcoholic in the nose, but it’s actually not unpleasant. The grain and corn carries through into the flavor, and presenting a fairly sweet body, but also a mildly bitter and alcoholic finish that just kills this beer. Light-medium bodied, but not the most pleasant mouthfeel. Tastes too much like beer you drink to get drunk. I’d rather have a beer that tastes good, thank you. Aubrey (2777), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 27, 2005 Clear and gold with a thin, patchy head. Toasted malts with hints of sweet corn and brown sugar. Flowery-herbal bitterness. Didn’t really notice any major off-flavors, but it didn’t really have any on-flavors, either. | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Sep 25, 2005 Skunky, corn aroma. Pale golden, no head. Taste is sour corn with a metallic finish. Pretty darn bad. BeerBlockaid (538), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
