The difference is in the alcohol fusels which can be detected here in the aroma, flavor and finish and detract from the mediocre experience... although Malt Liquor lovers may enjoy it.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 16, 2005 Golden amber with a decent but short lived head. Aroma of malt and alcohol. Taste is mostly sweet malt with the alcohol becoming more pronounced as it warms. It won’t win any awards but actually not bad. D (542), Poland

Very reasonable carbonation. Slightly sweet, quite rich malty taste with slight caramel notes. Not much alcoholic, which used to be the biggest drawback of this beer. Warming and pleasant. Very good in the league of Polish strong lagers, may be even the best among the mainstream beers of this type. haukur (684), Reykjavik, Iceland

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 26, 2005 Bronze. Bubbly white head. Malt, alcohol, corn, some hops in the aroma. Same flavor. Like a stronger version of american macro lagers with more hop character and a bit of warming alcohol. Medium/light body and plenty of carbonation. Thanks to a friend I did not have to pay for this one. MrManning (1652), London, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 26, 2005 Light amber. Bubbly, short lived white head. Nose is filled with mild hops aromas, grassy notes, and a decent malt backbone. Taste is malty sweetness, some tin/mineral flavours. Mild hop bitterness. As it warms, alcohol is more noticable, and so is slight adjunct. Smooth mouthfeel, and no alcohol burn in the finish. Very close to a malt liquor. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England

Fairly sweet but some balance. The second half of the bottle becomes more unpleasant with excessive alcohol flavours. MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA
