Clear golden hue, well carbonated, good head formation. Grassy, hay aroma, slight citrus and sour fruit. Good malty palate, lemony, evidently strong, slightly spicy and bitter hoppiness. Fairly bitter finish. Not bad for a malt liquor and quick easy drinking buzz.

Copper coloured with a white head. Aromas are grain, sugar, lemon and alcohol that gives it an aniseed character. Flavours are lemon and grain, aniseed. Sweetish with a dry finish. Strangely OK for a strong lager.

Dark golden lager with a steady head a quite strong and dry aroma, and quite a dry, malty and chemical flavour. Overall not too bad, quite a typical strong European lager.

A pleasant, if uninspired strong lager. Depsite the alocohol content, does not leave much of an aftertaste. More of a curiosity than anything else.

Light orange gold color. A medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is grainy and fruity. A medium bodied European Strong Lager/Malt Liquor. Malts are grassy, fruity and sweet. Hops are spicy and slightly bittering. Fairly smooth tasting, sweet but not cloying. No real weird off tastes that one would expect from the style. It has a nice dry finish, which sort of surprised me. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

2003 bottle. Pours a lightly red tinged-amber gold. Rapidly disipating white head. Smells of hay, slightly stale pils malt and other sharp grains. Flavor is pretty watery throughout; a mix of old hops, no bitterness. Light watery malt, hints of honey sweetness drowned out by more stale hops. Hmm, this isnt goin too well. Drinking it chilled. Letting it warm up proves to be no better. Just a bad all around stale and boring flavor that has no real interesting notes. They comprimise flavor and complexity for strength in the extreme here. I’d much rather have a lighter bodied pils that had some crispness, fresh hops and a solid malt base. No need for this beer, let’s have the porter again. . .

Tastes pretty decent actually. Similar to a normal malt liquor but with a little smokiness involved. No bad aftertaste tho alcohol is pretty present.
