Average malt aroma, with a dash of hop, some fruitiness. Finished dry and grainy with lingering bitterness. Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 14, 2004 Bottle from The Wine Company, Slough. Bottle reads 7%. Average lager tate, with a bit more alcohol. Like a higher strength equally bland version of Carlsberg Lager. Nolo (17), California, USA

Unpleasant, straw-like taste, with a strong pale malt flavor. Rather unpleasant and stanoffish beer. Another disappointing Polish beer, although that’s not true of all Polish beers. Not recommended, in any case. ogivlado (3095), Zagreb, Croatia

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2004 Bottle pours a weak brassy colour with a thin white head. This has some strong pale malt flavours, but an unpleasant straw like taste and hit of alcohol. There is a decent hit of bitterness on the end. The nose is strongly malty. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 3, 2004 Limpid golden body with a good bubbly head. Decent malty nose that carries some fruity, brown sugar and caramel hints. Taste is sweet, fruity, and reasonably bitter. Unfortunately, it carries some unpleasant alcohol and metallic hints (even bottled). Final is relatively long: alcoholic feeling lingers in the throat. Since the Okocim porter is out of circulation (grrrr...), that average strong lager is OK after skiing at Zakopane. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 2, 2004 Updated: Oct 16, 2004Decent hay-like hop nose with some cereal malt and a touch of fruitiness in the aroma. Clear golden coloured body with good visible carbonation and fine bubbled white head that recedes to cover. Slightly sweet and a touch fruity up front with surprisingly bitter, dry, somewhat alcoholic finish. Body is light and somewhat watery but strong carbonation makes this very engaging in the mouth though it will leave you feeling - um - gassy... Bottle. Thanks Radek. Resampled the canned version hand delivered by a friend from Poland and had largely the same impression. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 18, 2004 Pours a thick foamy off-white head on a golden body. Aroma is sweet malty with some bitter hops behind the sweetness. Flavor is mostly sweet malty and slight fruity with apple tones and a somewhat bitter though little thin finish. Definately one of the better European Strong Lagers I have tried!
