Kinda like a mix of a lager and a Bass. Drinkable, but that’s it. daknole (2940), Plantation, Florida, USA

Very malty and sweet on the nose. Some corn and grain. Flavor is better than I thought it would be. Not one I would want to drink again, but it did go down smooth. Lots of malt, corn, a bit of bitterness. PorterPounder (3137), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

One of those beers I always overlooked as I thought I had rated. Pours a pale golden with an extremely minimal white head. Wort like aroma with some spent grain accents and hint of yeast. Typical eastern bloc euro flavor with some sweet biscuit like maltiness, a hint of saaz hoppiness and just a brief mention of pepper. Mouthfeel is slightly thin with a bit of a metallic finish. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 26, 2009 Pours pale golden with a lingering white froth. Aroma is surprisingly pleasant. Very sweet and rich malt a lot like a Czech pilsner. A bit of a sweet corn and a tiny candy like presence round out the sweetness in the aroma. Flavor starts with a nice but not overwhelming sweetness. Again, very malty with a nice refreshing kick of bitterness that follows towards the finish. Finishes very smooth and a bit creamy in the mouth feel. Light to medium body and active carbonation. Very refreshing and easy drinking beer. While not quite to the level of the high class pilsners this is a cheap alternative without resorting to crappy macro American lites. liinis (721), Helsinki, Finland
