Commercial Description:
13.4P
The dark colour and intense taste is due to a unique process of malt fire-burning. A process that requires craftsmanship and precision from the brewer. As a result a beer has been created with a slightly sweet taste at first sip and a nice bitter follow through.

sweet nutty chocolate on the nose. some fruit as well. dark brown pour with a nice lingering of white head. watery mouthfeel that seems to not match the look of the beer. great malty sweetness on the palate. initial taste is a tad bit smokey with some sweet fruit. not a bad beer.

Bottle. Caramel, malty sweet chocolate aroma. Dark brown body with a ruby tint. Thin long lasting off-white head. Great lacing. Semi-sweet malty caramel flavor. Full bodied. Weaker finish. Solid drinkable beer.

Bottle 50cl.
Clear dark brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet dark bread, roasted, caramel, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090718]

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, Piccadilly Station, Manchester. Bottle. Why this crap has such a high score it;s out of my head ! Dark brown, sugar caramel nose. Flavour is very sweet malty, coke, maple syrup. Very artificial.

From bottle @ Manchester Piccadilly, waiting for the train. Deep dark brown color. Apple syrup in the aroma. Grainy sweet flavor with cola, caramel and apple syrup. Tastes cheap.

Dark brown brew that produced a small ammount of tan head that faded quickly. Nice aroma albiet to mild. Lightly toasted dark malts, possible smoke (can’t convince myself it’s there), maybe I’m finding the hidden smell of grape gum. This would taste much better if not hampered by excessive bitterness for the style. Still, highly drinkable. Fairly sweet and a shit load of toasted malts (mild overall). i may be confusing what I think is notable alcohol during every sip with the hops...go figure. Weak nuttiness? Just over medium bodied. The carbonation that at first sip gave me the ’pop’ impression has rounded out nicely now and is quite good and soft. Good malt middle and finish that takes a bit of a hit with the obvious excessive bitterness. I could drink this all night despite the impression that I didn’t like it. If you really want to enjoy this let it warm considerably...more than usual. Thanks for the beer, bro.
