Commercial Description:
13.4P
The dark colour and intense taste is due to a unique process of malt fire-burning. A process that requires craftsmanship and precision from the brewer. As a result a beer has been created with a slightly sweet taste at first sip and a nice bitter follow through.

Pours an extremely dark, yet clear ruby with a nice light tan head that falls rather quickly. Nose is malty like a pine cone almost. Light caramel tones there as well. Flavor is deep and pretty robust. Nice meaty tones to it. Nice sugary caramel flavors with an overall sweet tone to it. Feel is very bubbled and a nice thicker liquid feel over the tongue. Very drinkable. Easily sessionable. The sweet edge might turn some off, but I think this is a very good beer really. Great to try, and even better to keep as a regular.

Sweet lightly roasted and well balanced. Strange transparent black color was interesting. Good and easy to drink.

Pours a healthy black with crimson highlights and a vanishing mocha head. Nice chocolate and brown sugar aroma. The wheaty body displays lots of sweet chocolate, caramel, licorice and mild coffee. The finish is smooth with litter lingering bitterness. A nice beer that could be improved with a better yeast presence.

Biggish beige head. Deep dark red body with carbonation. Light licorice aroma, very faint. Dry-sweet roasty licorice taste with papery notes. Clean, smooth mouthfeel. Dry licorice aftertaste. Quite nice, if somewhat bland. (0.3l draft in Krakow at Ratuszowa.)

Tasted 2007-08-21. Canned, 50cl. Pours dark brown, clear, with off-white head. Light aroma of roasted malt. Tastes initially good. Roasted malt and coffee. Then as it warms up I get a lot of metallic notes in the finnish. It’s rather annoying, because without it, this is a decent beer, but that metal touch ruins it for me.

What a pretty dark red color! Medium head. Starts sweet just like the description promised, but also finishes too sweet for me. I don’t catch the "bitter". Good grain taste.

500ml. sweet grainy nose with hints of dark fruits and a light roasted aroma. dark chocolate brown color with orange highlights. sweet malty flavor that seems a little over carbonated which provides a little sting after the initial approach. back end has some nice but light roasted flavor along with a little chocolatey malt. notice how often the word "little" appears in this review, and then come to your own conclusions.
