Strong malty aroma with a bit of sweetness. Some coffee and chocolate as well. Sweet malty flavored. Some roastiness. Palate is a little watery. Good flavoring but could use a little more body. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 16, 2008 Pours a dark brown with a huge foaming head. Somewhat cola colored all around. Aroma was toffee caramel. Flavor also toffee caramel, medium to light in palate, with a fair bit of sweetness rounding off the finish. There might be just a touch of spicy/grassy hop but its very subtle. Just the vaguest hint of tart or is it a mild huskiness? Very easy drinking, this one. brewblackhole (1384), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
