The polish people love to taste the burn. This is a rich end of the night desert, it is really hard to follow. Save it for a cold night or a blind. badbeer (433), Iowa, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 5, 2008 Poured out black, but looked more dark brown when held to light. Had a beige colored head left some good lacing around the glass. Smell was sweet, maybe had some chocolate and a slight roastiness, but it seemed a bit weak. Taste starts of with mostly caramel and a touch of toffee, a little bit roasty before the finish, then the sweet caramel comes back to join in. Medium bodied and medium carbonation. This was certainly different than I was expecting, but was still enjoyable. The place I got the bottle didn’t seem to have very good conditions, so maybe this one is even better when taken care of.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 29, 2008 Very dark brown beer with a minimal tan head. Aroma is sweet and roasty. Flavor is sweet, with roasted malt, dried fruit, and dark chocolate. Finish is roasted malt and alcohol warmth. Sweet for a porter, but nice nonetheless. dolemite77 (184), Maryville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 27, 2008 Baltics aren’t really my thing... now that that’s out of the way. Pours a thick brown, with minimal head, but nice lacing. Aroma is burnt sugar. Flavors are sweet and malty, with little to no hops. This is sweeter than I prefer a porter to be. The finish on this beer is nice, as is the texture. I prefer the roasted nutty flavors of standard porter, over the "clean" flavors the lager yeast gives this beer. yobdoog (1509), Woodridge NY, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 24, 2008 Roasty and very sweet. Nice and creamy. Seems to be very consistent. Bottle or tap and each bottle I have is the same. Almost milky, smooth. A nice bite of alcohol but is hidden well by rich body and full flavor. Some lingering burnt coffee but is still sweet. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2008 pours black in body with a thick tan mousse a top. viscosity is evident while pouring. aroma is sweet toffee, butterscotch, raisins, and a smooth roastiness. flavor was much the same as the aroma. actually a little too sweet for the first half, but it dried out and really started to grow on me as I got to the finish. Finish was more refined toffee, burnt sugar, that really lingered into a long finish. full bodied. Pretty good beer, but not excellent. guzzler67 (1286), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 16, 2008 Clear, deep brown appearance with a small, light brown head. Malty aroma full of dark fruit, molassass and caramel. Sweet, malty, fruity taste with hints of chocolate and caramel, even some nuttiness buried beneath the sweetness. Full bodied mouthfeel with a good kick from the abv. Lingering finish allows time to dwell on the positives. IlanMan (850), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2008 Pour was nice and dark with a wonderful tan head. Aroma was of alcohol and brownies. Flavor began with an alcoholic kick that finished more with the porter flavor of chocolate, malt, and light molasses. Decent brew except for the alcohol dominating the aroma and flavor. Also a bit high for a porter. Body was too thin to support that much alcohol. Probably won’t go out of my way to buy again
