500ml bottle. Dark caramel color, full bodied head. Smells semi-sweet, not too strong. Smooth, tasty, nice aftertaste, not too bitter, though the bitterness comes on as the beer warms, as does the flavor.

Bottle. Pours black with thick long lasting tan head. Nice sweet spicy aroma. Nice medium body with sweet spicy flavor. Can taste the alcohol.

pours black with a one finger fluffy brown head. aroma is roasted malt with some dark fruit a touch of coffee, black licorice, and dark chocolate. has a medium body with good lacing and carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma but stronger. it has a touch of the 8.3% abv in the aroma and flavor but not to bad of a porter. aroma could be a little better somehow though. as it warms the aroma does catch up to the flavor a bit and i am getting some Belgian yeast? and sugar?

Pours near black with a thin beige head. Strong sweet licorice, coffee, some metallic hop and roasted malt aroma. A sweet porter with a dry finish. Very smooth and balanced. Some bittersweet and vanilla. Hint of smoke in the finish, bittersweet dark chocolate & tangy wood also. Similar to Fullers but not quite as good. Heavier, slightly sticky body.

Bottle. Pours black with tan head that disapears quickly. Aroma is malt, molasses and chocolate, Flavor is sweet with burnt malt. Mouthfeel is a little thin. Alcohol comes through at end. Did not know what to expect but this was a pleasent surprise.

This is darker then what I consider a typical porter. For instance if you hold it to the light, red hues are noticeable on the sides. Not the case for this beer. A good tan head that remained throughout the drink and limited lacing. The aroma is strong malty with roasted grains and some sweet hints as well. Kind of chocolaty. The taste is extremely smooth. A sweet malt taste brings out more of the chocolate charateristic. Some minor flavors are plums and raisins. Also a light malty base at the end of the taste with a stronger roasted malt feel to it. But its just amazing how smooth and easy to drink it it. A full body and the malt is pretty complex. After a while the higher ABV is noticeable but you wouldn’t tell by the taste. This is one sneaky porter.

Bottle. Dark black red pour with diminishing tan head. Smells of sugar and molasses, but tastes more of chocolate. A decent porter.

Very good, strong chocolate flavors. Fairly carbonated for a porter, but not too much. Reminds me of a Mackeson stout, with a tad less flavor and alcoholic tasting. Would drink again.
