Added to my RB list to check "Poland" as a beer country consumed. Robust porter with proper porter characteristics you cannot ignore. Roasty and a bit creamy. Alcohol bites through with ease. Tasty. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2007 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy with a frothy top fine to large sized light brown colored bubbles that were and left behind a and thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was brown malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish. The flavor contained notes of mildly vinous dark malt mild licorice and brown malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again. FROTHINGSLOSH (2038), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

Roasted malt grains aroma with hint of floral and brandy soaked black currants, almost like Christmas pudding. Dark black brown body with a long-lasting foamy tan head. Flavour hints at burnt orange fruit and sweet chocolate notes but mainly sickly caramel malt and currants. Full body. Booze is sadly mixed up with an unpleasant and sickly sweet malt. yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA

Very light aroma of sweet dark malts and dark fruit. Flavor is sweet and malty with lots of dark fruit, chocolate, coffee, and a tingly, roasty finish with a bit of bitterness. An excellent porter. Substantial body and silky mouthfeel. Complex, smooth and sweet. Very tasty and enjoyable. A big bottle for a very reasonable price. Good alcohol bite buried in the excellent flavors. An excellent value for a very tasty beer. Maybe not as good as Anchor, or Fullers, but close. If this were more readily available, I could drink a lot of this. Brewosk (137), Illinois, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 18, 2007 500ml bottle. Served in an english pint glass @ 54.5°. Aroma is dark fruits (dates, prunes), port wine, licorice, vanilla, with a touch of roasted malt. Black color (can’t see through at all) with a smallish khaki head. Initial taste is a chocolate whipped cream with vanilla extract, some roast lurking in the background and dark fruits which are followed by cocoa, dark fruits, some roasted malt, which has a touch of burnt character, and what almost tastes like some bourbon barrel aging by products e.g. char, vanilla, alcohol, dark caramel. The body is thick and creamy but finishes balanced with some lingering dark fruits and roast. I think this is a great beer, underrated to be sure.
