Oct 21, 2009 Bottle from The Party Source. Pours a near black color with a huge rocky tan head that leaves heavy lacing on the glass. Sweet, chocolaty aroma, with caramel, coffee, and roast. Sweet, malty flavor, with dark chocolate, caramel, sugar, dark fruit, coffee, molasses, vanilla, alchohol, and metallic notes. Medium bodied, with a grainy and buttery mouthfeel. Unusual, but a solid Baltic porter.

Sep 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a little tan head which disappears very quickly. Aroma is sweet and has notes of mocha and malt with a faint metallic smell that is a bit off-putting. Flavour is also sweet, in fact it reminds me of black coffee with about seven sugars in it, however there are also hints of dark fruit and malt. Not terrible but not great either.

Sep 13, 2009 50cl bottle from Whole Foods (Tampa, FL). Pours a impenetrable dark brown to black with massive two finger tan foamy head that settles slowly and heavily laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, earthy goodness, light burnt coffee, some hints of chocolate, brown sugar, toffee, caramel. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of sweet candy sugar, chocolate, ripe dark fruit, prunes, brown sugar and caramel. Generally medium body with a sweet malty finish.

Aug 29, 2009 500ml bottle. Midnight black in colour with a creamy tan head that looks inviting and robust. Aromas of burnt malt and roasted coffee beans. Thick and lively in the mouth. with a bitter burnt flavours that stays in the mouth. Very nice.

Aug 28, 2009 Pours a nice almost black brown with medium tan head, decent lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, sugar, slight coffee, and alcohol. Flavor matches well, but is pushing cloying in sweetness. Can’t beat the price, but really have to be in the mood for this one.

Aug 21, 2009 Purchased at Bevmo for $1.97. Best priced baltic porter ever? Probably, however the value just isn’t there. Pours practically jet black with an extremely minimal head. Aromas that come across are fruity yeasts (think a hot fermented carribean stout), chocolate, and some hot/fusel alcohols. Taste reflects this, and yet remains quite sweet. Some definite bourbon notes. Lots of fusel/hot alcohols, and buttery. When it is colder, it is like drinking rubbing alcohol. Not very good, even for $1.97.

Jul 30, 2009 I bought this based upon a previous recommendation and at $2.69, why not? Dark black, looks like a porter to me. It smells like syrupy molasses but it is faint yet sticky. The flavor is super malty and complex, fruity, nuts, molasses, brown sugar, what the hell? I guess I don;t know much about Baltic porters because this is much different than what I expected but it is still good. My first Polish beer!
