| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 17, 2007 Bottle. Pours a very dark clear brown with ruby highlights. Aroma of roasted malt, licorice, caramel, alcohol, and light notes of chocolate. Taste is sweet, roasty, alcohol, and licorice with hints of bittersweet chocolate. Med-full silky and oily mouthfeel with medium bitterness. A touch of harsh fusel alcohol but not to bad. Overall a tasty Baltic Porter. Crafty07 (393), Florence, Kentucky, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Apr 15, 2007 From a 500ml bottle. There are damn few bottles of beer that I can’t drink in their entirety. This is one of them. The label says ‘porter” But this is not a porter. This is an imperial stout. Thick, sickly sweet, metallic taste had me pouring out the remainder (an action I hate to take with any beer that costs as much as this does).
At least I can say I’ve had a beer from Poland and cross this off my list from the Great Beer Guide pg 342!
Jackson says this ambiguous porter/imperial stout has ‘medicinal character’. Yeah, so does Robotussin.

Very smooth drink that is a real treat. Go native and try it with polish kielbasa and horseradish mustard. TheEpeeist (1478), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 2, 2007 I have been waiting on this beer for years. I am glad to finally see it available again. The body pours form teh bottle as black and viscous with a light tan colored head on top. The aroma is rich with anise, dark chocolate and some prunes. There is also a little bit of cinnamon. The taste is surprisingly sweet. There is definitely sweetened coffee with some light anise notes. There is a hint of sweet potatoes. I would like a little more roast malt balance. I wanted to like this more than I did. BigBeer45 (705), Michigan, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Mar 31, 2007 Rating 7-4-6-4-12 Bottle, poured black with tan bubbles, roasted malt, sweet malt and chocolate aromas,
light smoke and prune fragrances, small vanilla aroma, roasted and dark malt with sweet malt flavors, full mouth feel, chocolate on the tongue, faint alcohol in the background, some syrup sweet flavor, small bitterness in the finish, after taste does come off rather odd, its not dry on the palate.
-------- have tasted some more of this, it has a sticky sickly sweetness that is bad, the sweetness is too much, the sweet over takes the roasted malts, the sweetness grows and is overpowering, I would not buy this again, re-rate 4-4-3-4-8
