Thick tasting, with dark roasty malts, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, and coffee. Medium tangy bitterness in the finish. Sweet, almost cloying, with Tootsie Roll after. Nice porter. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 24, 2006 Good looking dark brown body with ruby tinges, tan coloured head which lasted well and left some decent lacing. Aroma is a little laid back, mainly malt, some burnt caramel. Alcohol warmth on the taste which was quite pleasant, grainy, chocolate, a hint of liquorice with a chalky texture and a medium to full body. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 23, 2006 A dark brown, nearly black color with orange/red highlights. Strong and very sweet molasses aroma... with elements of coffee, chocolate, malt. There was some distinct aspect to the aroma that I could not distinguish... just a strange pungent sweetness--maybe the alcohol. Flavors were similar to the aroma...but with some added nuttiness and hints of dark roasted grains, caramel, and dried fruits. Pretty complex and overwhelming, really great. First "Baltic Porter" I’ve ever had.
