Rich black porter with creamy tan head. Strong coffee flavour overpowers the maltiness. Also very sweet. I do not like coffee, therefore this beer did not appeal to my tastes.

i was surprised at how good this was, nice creamy body, seemed to have a bit of roast/cofee/chocolate taste to it.

Bottle at Beer on the Pier, Chicago. Dark roasted malt, molasses. Strong aroma with sweetness. Very dark, almost opaque. Only red light could get through the bottle. Excellent lace. Light tan head. Quite sweet. Higher alcohol. Has some hops. After having the Okocim Palone, I am again pleasantly surprised by Okocim. Perhaps my favorite beer of the fest.

Pours a nice jet black. Aromas of chocolate/smoke/coffee. Flavor was kinda bitter with the alcohol showing through a bit. Nice chocolate flavors.

Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate and molasses. Body is dark with a very minimal head. Flavor matches aroma pretty well, but there is an overwhelming sweetness that I didn’t care for.

Nice porter appearance and lacing. Aroma of peppery alcohol, chocolate powder, and metal scraps. Maybe a hint of vanilla extract. Roasted dark malts, sticky molasses, and tobacco. Long alcoholic finish. Cloying and way to sweet. Not really that great.

semi-opaque black chesnut body, ruby golden brown at the edges. aroma is syrupy chocolate malt, some raisin too. flavor is chocolate malt, licorice candy, and the body is a little watery. yes it’s very sweet as many have said, but not that bad! the finish is like sambuca.

Quite dark, nearly opaque red/brown. Chocolatey nose with some melanoid-ish malt, some slight burnt/bitter notes. Flavor is quite sweet, with some nice chocolatey and roasty notes, nicely balanced by a slightly bitter finish.
