Aroma is full of licorice, chocolate, vinous and chewy caramel and dried fruit. What a great aroma. Dark brown with ruby highlights and a tan head that fades. Initially sweet licorice flavor that changes to a slightly grainy chocolate in the finish. The initial flavor is very nice, but the finish is just ok. Medium body, oily texture and a bit of dryness. Thanks to Doppelganger for sharing this one.

WOW! This has to now be in the list of the top porters that I have tasted along the way of beer drinking. With a sweet aroma that begs you to drink, the first hit on the palate is malty and chocolatey, yet very balanced and sweet - not too overpowering like many porters I’ve had. It also hides the beautiful 8.3% ABV quite well! The sweetness of this porter is one to remember! It’s almost like candy it’s so tasty!

sweet malty aroma butter flavor slight head This has to be the best porter ever! Delicious!! Its aroma is sweet malt and is quite inviting. The flavor absolutely dazzles with this beer. The early tastes are incredibly complex. There is so much going on it is difficult to pinpoint. Flavors include butter, raisen, molasses and, of course, those sweet malts. It is one of those beers that would offer different flavors with more bottles. Only bought one. My loss. The only drawback to this beer is that it could not maintain that complexity throughout. Towards the end it became a more common porter. I love porters so that is not at all bad, just not as good as it began.

Fizzy pour. Deep mahagony in color with a thin brown head. Slightly lactic in aroma with big cocoa and a little licorice. Very sweet. Cocoa nibs and diacetyl. Fruity. Actually kind of watery. The bitterness seems like it comes from the grain and not hops. I had been looking forward to trying this one but am a little disappointed.

Nice deep black pour with a few ruby hints when held up to the light. Fine beige head with some open lace. Aroma remincent of hot cocoa, with some hints of anise. Dark chocolate flavor, smooth, buttery rum, warming. Chocolate bitterness lingers into the finish. Lighter bodied than the strength would lead you to expect. Soft, but alcohol is noticable. Dry finish. I like that this has it’s own flair. Doesn’t taste like it’s an American or British porter.

From the bottle, dark black (with maybe a hint of red) and a substantial tan head. The flavor was somewhat smoky, but I don’t get that in the flavor. I get more raisin, dates, licorice. One of the more flavorful porters I’ve had in a while, but it’s not too strong ... it’s all very mellow and easy to drink. Quite good.

This beer offers a good hearty smelling aroma consisting of dates, molasses, coffee, and anise. It is a dark brown solution with a light almond colored head. This thick beer offers a nice mixture of the these flavors: dates, malt, molasses, and smoke at the finish. It has a sweet grain taste that lingers well after the fluid has left the mouth.

Damn, 500 ml is the perfect amount for this tulip glass and it looks good too. Dark black brown that allows some light on the edges with a chestnut brown head that touched the rim of the glass. Milk chocolate nose with powdered sugar. Smooth silky texture with a great mild chocolate flavor. I don’t know exactly how to put it in words it is so good. Not overpowering the 8 percent alcohol is not noticeable at all. Some vanilla mixes with the sweet chocolate nicely. A powdery feel in the finish brings out more cocoa and a hint of almond. Just a hint of grassy hop that keeps it balanced perfectly. A very slight strawberry emerges to add to the complexity here, but the chocolate is still embracing me nicely. I think this is the best porter I have ever had. Thank you Poland. Ap-5 ar-9 tas-9 pal-5 ov-20
