Dark Black color, small head. Toasted malts, kind of hoppy. Full flavored. Full round mouthfeel. Dry finish. Interesting stout, not typical nut very nice. Finish is dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Rich Full aroma smelling of partially carmelized and burnt sugar. Deep Dark Brown-black with a tan head. Smooth starchy taste with a nice bitter burnt flavor.

Rating #1 Bottle (7 4 6 3 15). A butterscotch and wine-like aroma and a small creamy light brown head on a very black body. A light silky smooth stout. Kind of an odd taste, somewhat fruity, hard to pin down, but worth trying. Rating #2 Bottle (7 4 6 3 14). Solid black color with a dark brown head. Roasted coffee aroma with some sweet chocolate. Full bodied, lightly roasted, sweet, and bitter chocolate.

A decent stout that is almost more like a heavy porter. Only .99 for a large bottle at trader joes.

Very dark, quite a smoky taste and smell-reminds of Schlenkerla Rauchbier(Ger), if you like smoked beer the German one is a touch better but this deserves kudos just because of its distinctness, also a very dark and murky brew. I think it’s good overall.

I love this beer it is my daily bread. It has a rich, strong flavor with a great finish. I just wish it were easier to obtain. Instead I have resorted to buying it 4-5 cases at a time.

A little sweet for a dry stout. I’d call this an American style because it is crisp like one, has the oilyness of an oatmeal, the character of an Imperial, and the bitterness of an Irish. I’m confused. It’s all that and a bag of chips. I’d increase it’s alcohol content and gravity, but other than that, it’s bootylicious.

Er, well, too sweet to drink more than once in a while. I don’t know why the hell they call it a dry stout. When prepared for it, it’s OK.
