A little sweet for a dry stout. I’d call this an American style because it is crisp like one, has the oilyness of an oatmeal, the character of an Imperial, and the bitterness of an Irish. I’m confused. It’s all that and a bag of chips. I’d increase it’s alcohol content and gravity, but other than that, it’s bootylicious.

I love this beer it is my daily bread. It has a rich, strong flavor with a great finish. I just wish it were easier to obtain. Instead I have resorted to buying it 4-5 cases at a time.

Blackish hue with a creamy white head. Moderately full-bodied. Caramel aromas have complex espresso and winey nuances. Rounded, smooth and chewy, with a vinous character that never tastes heavily burnt. Outstandingly complex and subtle.

Deep brown with amber highlights with a small tan head and good lacing. The aroma lints of burnt chocolate and black malts, molasses, oak barrel, moderate alcohol, aromatic hops, prune and apple, and espresso. The nose is very vinous and very traditional, I like it. The taste starts very malty sweet with a fruity and oaky background. I good hit of bitter hops and acidic notes come to play as well. A molasses twang is followed by a dry coffee finish. Quite tasty indeed. The body was medium with a creamy/oily mouthfeel, alcohol is present but very subdued. A underrated stout IMO. Very traditional with an English overtone, much like Fullers or Samuel Smiths. If you like the English style old ales and stouts, try this one out. If I didn't know better, I would have not guessed this to be made in Australia, good job mates.

Pitch black moderate head. Aroma is fruit sweet and roasty The aroma reminds me of kaluwa. Flavor is burnt and sweet, and the hops surface here a little bit, I guessing fuggles. Moderate body, mouthfeel is slightly oily. Sweet finish. Well done mates!

Dark brown, minimal head. Plesant aroma - cherry, dark chocolate and coffee. . . Alcohol flavour -> scotch whiskey on thr front of the tongue, merlot on the back. . .good malt presence as well, slightly sweet with lingering banana, vanilla and coffee. Well done.

Sweet licorice aroma. The flavor was a surprise given the sweetness of the aroma. There was a significant smokey, roasted flavor dominating the slight bitterness of this stout. Very very dark brown color with a small beige head with nice lace all the way down.
