Feb 20, 2008 Casak in Bon accord. Aroma is heavy, liquirice, dark malts yeasty and oxidised fruity esters. Taste is similar, vented too long, could easily be 8% as its so thick and heavy.

Dark coloured with some alcohol present. Very bitter. Some roast malt in the finish.

Jan 13, 2006 Cask, Derby Winter Fest 06. Dark brown/red with a bubbly beige head. Aromas are Ovaltine maltiness with chocolate. Flavours are chocolate and coffee malts with some spices. Quite sweet. Dry on the finish. A decent malty brew.

I was rather looking forward to this but it was a bit disappointing. Very dark ruby in colour with some malts and acids on the nose. Burnt maltiness throughout but only very thinly.
