Pub (4103), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England May 31, 2008 Cask conditioned at Barons Bar, Southport. Gold amber with white head. Pretty standard, no nonsense!, session bitter. Biscuity malts, with dry hops. Quite reasonable. DJMonarch (4091), Northwich, Cheshire, England Feb 17, 2006 1. Cask Handpump at Oakwood High School, Rotherham 16/02/2002
Golden coloured and slightly pale. Malt and hop finish.
2. Cask Stillage from the jug at the Crown Inn, Oakengates 02/05/2005
Golden amber coloured with a slightly hazy appearance. Acidic taste. Slightly dry lasting finish.
3. Cask Handpump at the Head Of Steam, Liverpool 29/08/2005
Mid brown amber coloured and fruity. Acidic taste. Crisp slightly bitter malt finish. maeib (4000), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Nov 6, 2004 Cask conditioned - handpump - The Alexandra - Kettering. I think this was my second ’last of the barrel’ beer of the day. A mid brown beer which had a large head due to its sparkled dispense. The aroma was a bit fusty with cherry skin notes. The taste was bitter again with a fruity offishness. Not at its best which is a shame. Sigmund (1961), Hafrsfjord, Norway Sep 29, 2004 Updated: Oct 19, 2004Cask at the Ipswich Beer Festival 2004, gravity dispense. Like chris_o says, a very soft and easy drinking session bitter. Nothing to blow your socks off, but nice enough for an evening in the pub. chris_o (4409), London, Greater London, England Sep 27, 2004 An amber coloured session beer. Quite pungent resinous hop aroma, with a not unpleasant hint of sulphur. However, the hop presence is not nearly as marked in the flavour and the overall impression is of a soft, easy drinking and well-tempered quaffing bitter. Not bad. Cask (gravity dispense), Ipswich Beer Festival.
