Cask, Mason’s Arms, Oxford. Warm copper with a fine layer of white. Tawny citrus aroma, catty, abundant and lively. Lovely blending of hop, malt and yeast character--so nicely integrated it’s hard to tell where one contribution ends and another starts. Fresh, satisfying beer. Delicate palate, just enough pithy texture to give the flavor a place to catch. I’ve been wanting to try something from this tiny (1 bbl system!) brewery for a long time, and what a nice introduction it was!
