Another bottled conditioned beer gone bad - what is it with this bottled conditioning of low ABV beers - it doesn’t work! Thanks fonefan for sharing. ChristianScheffel (4507), Odense, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 23, 2009 Bottle puchased at the brewery shop. Soft brambly stout with insinuating liquorice, roasted barley and yeast extract notes. The lactic element rounds everything out into a mild-like blur of gentle complementary flavours. Bit of strawberry yeastiness that makes me think of Belgium. Slim beige collar dying a little prematurely; otherwise slippery, pitch and creamy as you’d expect. Aroma roasted barley, faint Marmite, milk chocolate, maybe oak, blackberry. Penny chew lactic sweetness and jam returning after the swallow. More lactic tang would have been interesting, but I’m not complaining. anders37 (4636), Malmö, Sweden

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 3, 2009 500 ml bottle courtesy of a trade with cgarvieuk. Pours black with some reddish brown glints along the edges when held against light. Pleasant aroma of mild roast and a bit of chocolate. The flavor falls off a bit with lightly roasted malt and chocolate but with notes of diacetyl, cardboard and tobacco. Thin bodied. Disappointing. notalush (2658), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 31, 2009 Thanks to beerbill for sharing - this beer is all sorts of f-ed up - the aroma and flavor are semi-sour and fruity, with a lot of diacetyl, particularly through the middle - some doughy character in there as well - notes of sour cherry and light, lingering tartness - buttery finish - is this supposed to taste like this?
