Commercial Description:
Only available bottle conditioned.
Brewed with the addition of juice from the finest English damsons from Cumbria. The primary brewhouse fermentation was temperature controlled to preserve the unique flavour of the fruit. Finally, the secondary fermentation took place in each bottle to achieve the champagne like natural bottle conditioning of this rich, live, fruit ale.

Bottle, courtesy of Joeh, May 2006. Hazy red colour. I can certainly pick up the damson in the aroma - plummy, but sour fruit. Prickly carbonation on the tongue. Sharp, acidic fruit abounds in the flavour with a fair hit of sturdy bitterness and some yeasty notes. Bittersweet finish. Another bottle sampled a few weeks later didn’t display so well, seeming more musty and woody, so it seems this beer may be a bit variable. I’ll stick with the original score.

Amber reddish colour with a small off white head. Apple fruity and acidic aroma with a light malty note. Flavor is a blend of some malty sweetness and a fruity acidic note.

Bottle. Redish colour with a small off-white head. Light apple, fruity aroma and a dry light acid apple taste. Medium body with a dry finish.

Bottle, thanks to Chris for sharing. Clear orange coloured with an off white head. Sweet aroma of malts, fruits and spices. Flavour of fruits, spices and berries.

Bottle (thanks Joeh!). Not too muc happening roma wise, but its not unpleasant. Quite spritzy on the tongue at first, with some slightly kriek-ish bloody acidity. Mouthfeel is slightly dull and prickly, but there was some nice refreshing acidity, especially given the strength.
