BückDich (4618), Boise, Idaho, USA Feb 7, 2004 unfiltered dark ruby brown, no head, sticky lacing. like a mild version of the hop on with a little more unbalanced bitterness. acrdz (4535), Boulder, Colorado, USA Dec 30, 2003 Murky dark red/brown. Big thick malts in the taste, thick and foamy with a flavor of sweet apples and maple. Finish is soapy, with a sweet plum and malt nose. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Feb 19, 2006 Milder than I would have preferred, but nicely done in the same sense, quite well balanced. Malty, and full of rich fruitiness, perhaps some spearmint, that I am sure has something to do with a hop characteristic that I just cannot put my finger on. Definitely quenches the thirst. DA (2641), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Jan 17, 2005 On tap at the Old Market. This brew ended up being the best of the brews on the taster tray. Pours a darker red with a medium off-white head. Lots of fruity hops in the aroma, fairly aromatic. Taste starts with a light fruitiness to the very lightly sweet malts. This brew finishes with a nicely balanced floral/citrus hop finish. Not overly bitter, but a good dose of hops makes this a good refreshing brew. BrewDad (1803), Olympia, Washington, USA Jan 13, 2007 [Tap - Old Market Pub]
A deep dark reddish color with a slight head. This had a very nice balance and the flavors where very good. A tad of extra hops and the rich flavor was great. I liked this beer I can and would drink another.
