Bottle 341 ml
Appearance: clear dark amber brown with lighter slightly tanned top.
Nose: amber and brown malts , slightly vinous feel. Not bad.7-
Flavor/Palate : decent front with roasted and caramel malts ,thinner carbonated follow up. Slightly sticky molasses like ending. Faint hint of dryness on top. Bit empty especially with finishing yet with solid character.

From the OCB discovery pack no. 2. 341ml bottle poured into a mug. Poured a dark brown with a hint of red. No head. Not much carbonation either. Looks like cola that’s gone flat. Aroma of toasts and malts with a hint of coffee. Tastes of caramel malts, burnt toasts, coffee, and hop bitterness at the end. Feels Flat. Minimal tingling of bubbles on the tongue. Smooth, bordering on watery. Flat burnt coffee. It’s not doing it for me here. One is enough for me.

Enjoyable enough Irish red, which doesn’t say much. Caramel and strawberries in the nose. Low hops. Smooth and malty. Decent for what it is.

Aroma of burnt fruit and licorice. Pours a flat ruby brown. Licorice and earthy malt. Pretty thin for an irish ale. Back to the drawing board chumps.

Half of a 12oz bottle. Mahogany. Almost no head. earthy almost peat aroma and nut oil. Earthy licorice with thin maple syrup or molasses and a touch of dark sugar. Dark but thin and no depth.

Ok, so this isn’t an Irish ale... more like a crummy nut brown. Pours out a clear medium brown with a rather large foamy tan head that simmers down to a cover leaving some mess along the way. Dry biscuit malts, sweeter caramel, faint dusty fruits, nuts and weak weak coffeeness. The taste is nuts and toffee for the immediate impression, random fruits of the non bright citrus family, biscuit, cardboard, gets more sour on the back end as I near the bottom of my glass. Decent bitter levels but the bitterness is attached to the wrong flavours for the style. Not all that smooth for some reason, sort of an oily middle, lengthy dry bitter finish.

Pours deep copper-red with good off-white head. Aromas of caramels, malts and hops. Taste of roasted malts with sugary caramel and grains. A slight bitter finish. Overall a solid beer but nothing that makes it stand out.

Bottle. Deep copper with an average foamy mocha head with poor to average retention with average lacing. Aroma is a bit sour, not much here, slightly metalic with some malt and caramel. Flavor is toasted malt, tart with herbal hops with a slightly bitter finsih. Medium body.
