Nose was slight with smoke and pilsnerish. Prevalent rauch flavor was quite satisfying. Alcohol hidden well n crispy, gritty grain finish. Wulfstan (509), California, USA

It is dark, slightly orangish yellow with a medium white head that immediately dissipates to a thing foamy ring. The aroma is pungent strongly fruity with musky grain, alcohol notes, and an unusual vegetable quality and a hint of pine. The taste is similarly pungent, very fruity with that same unusual vegetable quality that I recognize but can’t quite place and some grain and a hint of pine. It has a full-bodied, warm, faintly meaty, spicy alcoholic quality similar to something like Steel Reserve but much more smooth, pleasant, and easy to drink. It goes pretty well with Indian food and is fairly enjoyable with a rather unique taste. Arayaga2 (986), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 15, 2006 Weird musty rum smell with a cidery hint that makes me think of fusel alcohol. Taste is smoky and lightly sweet with a watery mouth presence. $2.50/650ml jimhilt (1689), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 30, 2008 Pours a three finger white head that vanishes leaving no lace. Crystal clear amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Maybe a sweet nose. Flavor is sweet but hops are trying to balance, menthol in the background. $3.45 for a 650ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 1, 2009 At an Indian restaurant in Boston. Might just be one of the better lagers I’ve had out of a country I don’t normally see as a beer producer. It really wasn’t too bad, and the label was just classic. "For sale in U.S.A. country only!" - love it. Smelled like sweet corn malts, and the flavor was malt-dominated, with an almost syrupy sweetness (this is the thickest brew I’ve seen from an Eastern country) countered by a boozy bitterness. Certainly drinkable... though I don’t think I’d ever opt for another. JoeMcPhee (5030), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 29, 2009 Hazy golden beer. Aroma is very, very cidery with a bit of unusual tobacco/musky note. Sweet and unusually caramelly character. A bit of toffee. It’s kind of strange, but in a way that’s not nearly as bad as it first appeared to be. It’s still not good, but it is at least interesting.
