Commercial Description:
Brewed for The Old Toad in Rochester, NY.

We are all very excited to introduce to you our latest creation...the Old Toad Pink Peppercorn IPA. Brewed with the addition of crushed Pink Peppercorns in the tank this beer is a spicy little devil but still very, very drinkable. We are very proud of it, come down and see for yourself.

A little fruity, maybe a little peppery. Overall a light and enjoyable IPA.

Sweet, fruity malt, slightly peppery but with very low hopping. Lots of honey. Decent, with rich malt, but rather bland. Not enough hops, and not enough pepper to make up for it.

Draft @ old toad, speckled head, hazed bronze. Spicy hop nose with a bit of a sugary backing and floral highlights. Strangely bitter flavors, fuelish at times, the reminents of the pink peppercorns are evident but only the peppery finish and not the sweetness inherent in pink peppercorns, not that I see it even being possible to extract that sweetness from them...but maybe an attempt to up the malts as a substitute would have been nice. This is dry and bitter, and a touch astringent. Not bad though and certainly nothing offensive here...just a bit fuelish

(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Hazy orange color with a thin white head. Aroma is some floral hops with a very light peppery spice. Flavor is nice and light with a smooth and slightly citrusy flavor from the hops mixed with some sweet malts. Very light touch of pepper, but you can tell it’s there. Finishes clean with a light peppery note. Could’ve used some more pepper, but much better than a lot of the other CB beers I’ve had.
