First new beer I’ve had from Old Yale in quite some time. It poured a light gold colour along with a frothy but slim, white head. Aroma was gently floral, Taste was a bit on the sweet side; mouthfeel was smooth, and the aftertaste was quite a bit sweeter than I’d expected. Odd, thought I.

A light yellow pils with a thin white head. A funky herbal german hops aroma, a bit mineral. In mouth, a crisp malt with mineral notes, light hopping, short in mouth...a so-so pils. Trade with Capflu.

[870-20071130] 650mL (w/ GregClow, jerc, tupalev). Slightly yeasty aroma has bathroom cleaner perfume notes and is slightly sickly sweet. Slightly hazy, pale dull orange body with a quick foamy white head. Sweet yeasty raisin flavour has a bit of floral sweet and butter. Medium body. Not great.

Bottle shared with GregClow, Jerc, and Mabel, Greg’s bottle. Medium to dark yellow, smal white head. Buttery aroma, light hops, not good. Taste - medium body, buttery light malt - again, not good. A delicate beer I guess, this bottle showed signs of being off - but there is nothing here to suggest it would be good even fresh.

Bottle. Yellow body with a small white head. Muted floral aroma. Thin watery palate and flavour. Very light bitterness. Boring.

Bottle shared with tupalev, jerc & mabel - my bottle. Light gold with a wispy head. Aroma is faint, with a slightly soapy/flowery note. Medium body. Flavour is light and sweet off the top, a bit buttery, some yeastiness in the middle, and a dead finish. Poor.

I might have received a skunked bottle. Nose and flavor are both yeasty. Color is nice but there’s nary a hop to be found in this slurry. Poor beer.

Straw colour with a light haze. Aroma is grassy hops with a touch of yeast. Starts malty and basic and finishes with a slight resiny texture. An easy drinker with basic form.
