Fairly light golden colour. Vague aroma of toast, earthy hop, maybe a hint of rye. Slight oxidized hop notes, hints of wood. Not a ton of rye in this one, which leaves it rather unfocused.

Light DMS add as much dimension to the nose than does the rye. The pour is murky straw to amber, the head quickly leaving. Mostly bready, toasted malt notes. Scary apples and banana notes. Highly mineral. Not necessarily the best water for that one, light bodied, thin, sweet and tartish. Weak.

Light gold hue. Mild carbonation; thin body; watery on the tongue. Grainy malts with a slight hint of sweet cereal; decent flavors, but weak. Only a mild bitterness to complement. Yearned for more rye-like qualities and a healthier hop profile.

GABF. Pours a nice gold. Aroma is faint hops. Flavor is barely-there-hops and weak malt. Palate is water. Best of the bunch I sampled from this brewer, which really isn’t saying much.

Clear yellow. Grainy and lager-esque - nasty corn and malt liquor flavor... sour and disgusting. Nothing more to say about this beer, other than I’m really surprised it medaled.

GABF 2005: Clean straw hued with a fizzy head. The aroma has notes of rye and grassy hops, bready malts and a touch of lactic twang. The taste was about the same as the nose, grainy and somewhat citric with a sweet and bready malt background. The feel is watery and thin. Okay, another state rated. I have had a few Alabama beers before (when I lived in Biloxi) but that was pre-ratebeer.

Yellow pour w/ small white head. Grainy barley aroma some light malt. Thin carbonated palate.. reminds me of high life.. very boring and grainy but unoffensive.
