I had somewhat elevated hopes for this one as I’ve been liking the influence of Rye in beer as of late. Unfortunately this was not all I had hoped for. Poured a light orange color with a wispy head. Very light carbonation. Aroma was very light with grainish malts and lightly crisp hops. Nothing fancy or too pronounced. Some malt backbone with rye sweetness to this with well balanced pine-like hops. Easy drinking. Body was light and watery (too much so).

They say "straw color"?!? This stuff is brown! It does have a nice head. Although I swear this smelled like dirty feet at first, for some reason it was appealing. Then on the first swallow, this actually stands like a good pale ale, hoppy and tasty. I had to do a double take with the bartender to make sure he didn’t mix this "rye" with an IPA. The one downfall was an almost detergent finish. Despite this review, I liked this beer.

Medium brown body with a very slight haze. There’s a slight bit of hops. There’s malt presence but all of the flavors seem a bit muted and dull.

Dark brown, no head, faint aroma. Nice crisp, fresh rye flavor, with a hint of chocolate. toasty, clean finish.
