markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Jan 10, 2009 Bottle courtesy of Wayne. Pours a hazy brown/ amber with a white head. Nose is roasted malt, caramel, and some chocolate. Flavor has the great sweetness of a winter beer with nice roasted malt, and sugary maple and some noticeable hops toward the finish. Very good. gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Jan 8, 2009 2-liter bottle courtesy Wayne Wambles. Pours a cloudy murky brown, with a foamy white head and similar lacing. Sharp hoppiness in the nose. Sugary sweet cereal, brown sugar. Balanced. Dry roasted malt flavors, cereal, grainy, good hoppy finish. Smooth, crisp, bitter finish, well balanced overall. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Sep 24, 2008 Couresty of Jeremy, thanks again buddy. Pours mildly hazy amber with thin tan head. The aroma is roasty toasty malts, some crystal malts and a mild level of oxidation. The taste is roasty up front and brings up dry malt astringency and some pine hops. By midway it gets a bit nuttier along with notes of caramel, roasted malts and a mild lingering pine hop bitterness. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA Sep 7, 2008 Growler courtesy of Wayne Wambles. Pours a clear amber with a one finger light tan head. Aroma of sweet malt and caramel with a hint of chocolate and roast. Taste it the same as aroma with the chocolate being more prominent. Medium mouthfeel with a mild to moderate amount of bitterness. This beer packs a whole lot of flavor at 6%abv. Damn good.
