Suttree (2701), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA May 21, 2007 Dark brown, with a nice spongy brown head. Spicy, almost juniper-y aroma. Woodsy and oddly sweet flavor, and then a dry-ish finish. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Apr 26, 2007 Draught. Pours copper with a small frothy off-white head, somewhat diminishing, good lacing. Aroma is average malt (cereal, bread), average hops (herbs, flowers), average yeast (earth, dough) with notes of berries. Light to medium bodied, thin texture, soft carbonation and a bitter finish. Light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness; earthy flavor. Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Apr 3, 2007 Updated: Apr 6, 2007Prune tart aroma with cigarette smoke notes. Medium alt/brown ale coloring, very light head. Watery, in a word. A little coffee, dry, lightly astringent, really not too much going on here. Dilute chalky mouthfeel. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Oct 10, 2005 Light amber colour - sort of dull though. Light husky malt aroma, vaguely nutty. The flavour is fairly sweet, with hints of toasty malts and not much else. Aubrey (2773), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 9, 2005 Deep amber; nice head. Light carbonation; watery texture. Very restrained malts; perhaps a little earthy, but not much going on. Mild hops were flat and one-dimensional. Light note of pepper. I’ve noticed a "hemp quality" in other hemp ales, but I couldn’t pick it out in this one. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Apr 17, 2005 Dark red and watery. Herbs, all right. This might make a good marinade, but doesn’t taste good at all. Peaty, yet tart. Odd. aracauna (2357), Georgia, USA Mar 29, 2005 Dark red-brown body with good lacing. The malt is the main character, but there’s not a lot going on here. It’s kind of a boring beer.
