Jan 11, 2009 Courtesy of WayneWambles. Pours a generally clear brown color color with a thin white head. Aroma is malty with some funk and notes of coffee, caramel, plums, raisins. Flavor is malty and sweet with notes of coffee, honey, barley, raisins, plums. Generally light body with a linger malty finish and some slight notes of floral hops.

Pours brownish with tan head.
Aroma of caramel malts.
Taste of light roasted malts, coffee, light notes of caramel.
Finish goes around a mild touch of floral hops.

Jan 10, 2009 Pours deep brown with thin tan head. The aroma has a bit of understandable oxidation due to the packaging method. So I’ll go ahead and ignore it and look around for intended notes. I get soft notes of roasty malts and a bit of nuttiness. The flavor is roasty malts up front with an early dry nearly astringent malty sensation. I then get both nuttiness and a mild hop bitterness about midway. It ends neutral with a pleasing and lingering malt roastiness.
