lots of coffe and hops in the aroma, pour was a nearly solid brown with thin foamy head. flavor was lots of coffee and very hoppy for a stout. tail end was a little bit harsh..overall i thought it was a little too bitter for my stout likings

Good sized brown head of dense bubbles. Very rich and creamy. Reduces slowly to a thin foam and reforms nicely upon swirling. Good carbonation for a stout. Very dark brown in color. Somewhat thin body. Dark chocolate and thin roasted malts. Little bit of gritty carbon also. Finish has a sharp bitterness which was not expected. Not a very good stout.

Another seasonal from this local brewer. I always buy it fresh. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts.

Too thin, highly acidic and not quite enough malt background. Hoppiness and a berry-fruit middle followed by metallic finishing bitterness. Overall too acidic and not thick enough and too little sweetness.

750ml bottle from my Secret Santa - Thanks Santa! - Pours black with a beautiful mocha head that stays well and laces in weblike patterns down the glass. Aroma is of coffee, and some smoke, along with roasted malts and a touch of coffee. Flavor is roasty. Some smoky earthy notes come through the coffee flavor. A touch of chocolate emerges as well. Finishes somewhat on the dry side. Palate is medium bodied and a smooth drinker. A little on the watery side though. A touch of the hops can be found on the backside. Very drinkable. I think this might be a shade underrated..

Cocoa-colored head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts. Dark chocolately color with a slight coffee taste. Beer was much thinner than anticipated.
