Sampled when it hit store shelf, so it was fresh. Not my favorite by this brewer, but a good hot weather beer. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA

Unfortunately, some store owners in the Copaco Farms Shopping center choose not to rotate the stock. This is a very good beer when it’s fresh. Cottrell (72), Connecticut, USA

Aroma is sweet, with very light yeast character, and apple and honey as well. Flavor is light, with sweet and tart apple and yeast up front, followed by grassy hops. I don’t know what the hell it is to be honest, but it surely is not a kolsch. Blue flip top bottle with a friggin $1.50 deposit. Yeast, peppers, bananas, and maybe a hint of watermelon in the nose. Rather subtle aroma. Orange copper color with a quickly dissipating light tan head. Mainly transparent. Dark and odd-looking for a summer beer. Very malty brew. Quite toasty to start and quite dry. Hints of banana in the middle with a touch of sweet caramel maltiness. Dry, slightly hopped finish. A very strange beer with too much going on. It’s kind of like a Rauch/Belgian style beer. Not a fan of this. jbak (110), Torrington, Connecticut, USA

I agree completely with Unionmade, this brewery rocks!!
Sweet floral aroma, with a medium head that dissipates quickly but has great legs and good lacing. Color is a hazy and pale straw. A lightly malty brew that is extremely quaffable, that also finshs with little to no aftertaste. UnionMade (621), Connecticut, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jul 4, 2003 This brewery doesn't make a bad beer. If anything was going to suck, it would be the summer ale. Damn fine. Pours an almost greenish ochre yellow, with a fat white head. Aroma is mild and lightly malty, with a clean german (or american grown variety) hop presence. Mild, mild esteriness. Flavor is light and crisp, with a lightly chewy mouthfeel, if that's possible. You can definitely taste the grain. Smooth, with lively, yet small, bubbles. Finish is mildly dry. One of, if not the best, summer ales I've had so far.
