| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jan 20, 2005 Black with tints of brown, thin tan head. Mild burnt toast aroma. Seems a bit overly carbonated. Fairly aggressive coffee flavor, and then a crisp, dry, noticeably bitter finish. I don’t know if this a new recipe or possibly a different porter all together, but there doesn’t seem to be any chocolate character in this. dberger624 (1028), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 12, 2004 Draft sampler at the brewery. This was listed as just a porter on the menu but it definitely had chocolate in it. Which made it very good. Nice flavor at the way through. Oakes (8142), Kowloon, Hong Kong
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 17, 2000 Medicinal aroma; very woody palate - like walking through a lumber yard. Good beer if you like that sort of thing, but I could see a lot of people having problems with this.
