lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA May 12, 2009 Draft at Union Jack’s Clear amber orange-red with a frothy white cover. Aroma of sweet apples, toasted malt, light caramel. Taste is fruity, toffee, caramel, red apples, metallic finish. nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 24, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Clear amber with a lasting ring of cream and sugary lacing. Faint aroma of caramel. Flavors of caramel, light tart apple and a citrus finish. Another well-balanced, tasty session ale by this brewery. Light-medium body has a creamy smooth mouthfeel, with a lightly dry and tingly finish. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 07/18/2006

jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Apr 2, 2007 on tap-pours a white head and copper color. Aroma is medium malt. Taste is medium malt-some sweet, hops-some bite. Light body. Lots of/too much effervescence on the front of the tongue. NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Dec 19, 2006 Draught. Yeah, this is most certainly red with a firm tan head. The nose is a bit musty with notes of bread, caramel, and basement air. This proves to be very easy drinking due to a general absence of any assertive character. There is mild maltiness present with faint traces of bark, suggestions of hard candy, and hints of biscuits. The beer is well balanced with no off flavors, it’s a suitable session drink. 19641948 (492), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Sep 16, 2006 From notes 5/17/03:
Light copper color with an off-white head. Thick, creamy, sheeting action on the lacing. Gorgeous. A malty aroma, little hop scent. Smells sweet. The taste has caramel all over the place. Brach’s Caramel Squares seem to have been melted during the brewing process. Caramel caramel caramel. A buttery slickness to it as well. Slides right down. A little bit of hoppiness to it at the end of the tasting. Balances out the caramel butteriness well so you’re not dying for a drink of water to quench the thirst. Ends the taste well. Billed as a "slight hoppy spice and a pleasant maltiness." I agree.
aracauna (2357), Georgia, USA Jul 18, 2006 Clear amber. The aroma is faint, and the flavor is a cracker malt with touch of caramel. Easy to drink, but boring. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Jul 6, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear red color with thin white head. Not much nose to speak of. Earthy flavor with a dry, bitter finish. Tastes kind of like my dog smells when she is wet. Not what you want in a beer.
